PE Teacher - SEND/SEMH in stockport
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and resilient PE Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist school supporting students with (SEND) an (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver inclusive PE lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEND and SEMH.
Encourage active participation in physical activity, supporting both physical health and emotional development.
Create a safe, supportive environment where all pupils feel valued and able to succeed.
Use a trauma-informed and positive behaviour approach to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Foster self-esteem, independence, and a sense of achievement through physical education.
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic student development.
Contribute to whole-school activities and enrichment opportunities that promote active lifestyles.
Requirements
A recognised degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students is highly desirable.
Knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and inclusive practice in PE.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and classroom management skills.
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to teaching and student engagement.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
