Part-Time PE Teacher - asap start - Hertford
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a thriving, Ofsted 'Good' Secondary School in Hertford on a part-time, interim basis. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year in July 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to a supportive and energetic PE department committed to promoting student wellbeing, teamwork, and achievement through sport and physical activity.
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be opportunities to support extra-curricular sport for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
Promote participation, skill development, and teamwork across a range of physical activities
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Support whole-school sports events and extra-curricular opportunities where appropriateRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
UK teaching experience in Physical Education
Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
Passion for PE and student development
Strong behaviour management and communication skillsThis part-time PE Teacher role is ideal for an educator seeking an interim position with flexibility, where they can still make a meaningful contribution to students' learning and wellbeing.
