Job Description
Southend Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Permanent Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes
Undertake Occupational Therapy assessments
Be responsible for prioritising your workload, using supervision proactively to effectively manage your time.
Be an exemplar for high quality Occupational Therapy assessments, applying key theories, and adhering to the ethos and principles of associated adult legislation, theories and guidance.
Always promote anti-discriminatory practice, Occupational Therapy values and ethics, and demonstrate a commitment to positive risk assessment and evidence-based decision making.To Be Successful
Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
Experienced Adult Social Care
Robust understanding of the Care Act 2014 and how this applies to your assessment, intervention and outcomes.
Understanding of Safeguarding within the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Manual handling experience.
HCPC Registration.
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
