Job Description
A highly respected secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a dedicated Physics ECT to join its outstanding Science department from September 2025.

The Science department is well-equipped with modern laboratories, data-logging technology, and experienced technicians. Physics is a thriving subject, with strong GCSE and A-Level uptake, and excellent student outcomes.
As a Physics ECT, you’ll:

Teach Physics across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5
*
Plan exciting and practical lessons that develop analytical and problem-solving skills
*
Support STEM clubs, trips, and inter-school competitions
*
Contribute to a supportive and dynamic departmental team
ECT support includes:
*
A dedicated induction mentor and weekly one-to-one meetings
*
Access to internal and external CPD, including specialist Physics training
*
Regular observation and personalised feedback
*
Opportunities to develop within a science-specialist teaching team
What we’re looking for:

QTS (or on track to achieve it by July 2025)
*
A degree in Physics or a related discipline
*
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
*
Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching
*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
