Job Title: Picking & Despatch Operative
Location: Melksham, Wiltshire
Salary: £12.21
Hours: Monday to Friday, double days
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our warehouse team as a Picking & Despatch Operative. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring high standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately pick customer orders from stock using pick lists or handheld scanners
* Carefully pack items to ensure they are safe and secure for dispatch
* Label and prepare goods for shipping in line with company procedures
* Maintain a clean and organised working area
* Assist in stock control and inventory counts as required
* Work as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines
* Adhere to health & safety and company policies at all times
Requirements:
* Previous warehouse or order-picking experience preferred but not essential
* Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Physically fit and able to lift/carry as part of daily duties
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
