Job Description
Pipewelder required for an engineering company who are specialists in Pipework and Fabrications. Located in Leeds. Permanent after a 26-week probationary period
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (enjoy a long weekend off!)
Pay as Pipewelder: £40,404 basic salary (£18.50 per hour PAYE for standard 42 hours) + 1.5x Overtime on Fridays
Benefits as Pipewelder: Paid breaks, Free parking, Monday to Thursday basic hours only. Friday is T+1/2 when worked!
Key Responsibilities of the Pipewelder:
-Welding to X-ray standard on stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials
-Reading drawings and cutting pipe spools unsupervised
-Performing TIG & MAG welding
-Fabricating pipes, flanges, plant rooms, and skids to high specifications
-General fab shop duties
-Adhering to strict Health and Safety standards
Requirements as Pipewelder:
-Proven experience in fabrication and pipe welding with stainless and mild steels (minimum 2 years)
-Necessary qualifications or time-served experience in MIG and TIG welding
-Strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills
-Driving license (ideal due to site location)
