Up to £45,000 per year
Neos Engineering are partnered with a leading demolition and heavy equipment contractor who operate across a range of workshop and site-based environments. Due to continued growth and a busy project pipeline, they’re looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Plant Fitter to join their team.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a broad range of heavy plant machinery both in-house and on various demolition sites. You’ll carry out fault diagnosis, welding/fabrication, and ensure all work meets strict safety standards. This is a varied, hands-on role offering a mix of workshop and on-site work.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and repairing faults on a variety of plant equipment including excavators, dumpers, and other heavy machinery
Performing routine maintenance and scheduled servicing
Welding and fabricating components when required
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures
Managing your own workload effectively while supporting a team-based environment
The Candidate
You’ll have proven experience as a Plant Fitter and bring a strong mechanical skill set with the ability to problem-solve under pressure. A plant operating licence is desirable but not essential.
Key skills & competencies include:
Experience maintaining and repairing plant machinery
Fabrication and welding skills
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
A valid plant operating licence (preferred)
Commitment to health and safety standards
Positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude
