About the role: Working in a class-leading, multi-disciplinary team of engineers you will bring your expertise in power systems engineering and equipment, ideally with knowledge of classification society, performance and regulatory requirements. This role will include working on projects requiring a single nationality UK passport and the ability to achieve SC level security clearance. * Support project teams delivering power systems (including power generation and distribution, energy storage, protection, power conversion and utilisation, control and automation) ensuring the design meets customer and appropriate third-party requirements. * Produce detailed design studies including, but not limited to short circuit calculations, load flow, protection coordination and quality of power supply, including harmonic analyses, common mode and EMC. * Produce requirements and functional specifications for systems and constituent products including generators, switchboards, transformers, power electronic converters, motors, energy storage systems and cabling. Qualifications/Requirements * Minimum of a degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or higher, for example Masters or PhD in a relevant field. * Chartered Engineer (or working to) and equivalent proven record of continuous professional development. * Proficient with software simulation and design tools.
