Supply Desk is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Primary Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Watford. Job Description:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that are appropriate for the early years curriculum, ensuring all children make progress.
Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to explore and develop.
Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, ensuring they are prepared for the next stages of their educational journey.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff on their development.
Support children with their personal, social, and emotional skills, helping them develop independence and positive relationships with peers and adults.
Be actively involved in the wider school community, including attending staff meetings, school events, and engaging with parents and carers.
Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning in the early years.
Our ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified Early Years Teacher with a passion for working with young children
Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the developmental needs of young children.
Be creative, adaptable, and able to plan and deliver lessons that are engaging and inclusive.
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable working with children, parents, and colleagues.
Be patient, empathetic, and committed to providing high-quality support to young children in their learning and development.
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
Have or be willing to undertake additional training in relevant areas such as safeguarding and first aid.
