We’re looking for a proven engineer to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, responsible for delivering pragmatic, fit-for-purpose EC&I solutions across a wide portfolio of projects in the nuclear and high-hazard sectors.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in ensuring technical excellence, team development, and strategic resource deployment across projects. You’ll establish and maintain a competent engineering community, lead the development of engineering solutions, and ensure best practices are embedded across disciplines.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and grow a capable, qualified EC&I engineering function to support project delivery.
Guide the development of practical EC&I engineering solutions across all project phases.
Ensure your team members are SQEP and empowered to deliver high standards of engineering.
Manage recruitment, resourcing, and development strategy in conjunction with the Head of Engineering.
Drive the use and evolution of engineering standards, procedures, and internal processes.
Collaborate with professional bodies and supply chain partners to access subject matter expertise and build strategic networks.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and performance management to your direct reports.
Support internal reviews, risk identification, regulatory engagement, and continuous learning.
What We’re Looking For
Degree-qualified in Electronic, Electrical, or a related discipline (BEng or higher).
Chartered Engineer (CEng MIET or MNucl), or equivalent experience.
A recognised track record of delivering complex EC&I engineering packages within highly regulated environments – ideally nuclear.
Experience acting as an Intelligent Client, Technical Authority, or Subject Matter Expert.
Strong leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams and across project lifecycles.
Proven ability to influence engineering strategy and lead organisational capability development.
