Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Planning Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on complex infrastructure planning projects including TWAO and NSIP schemes
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage competing deadlines, and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs
Prepare Local Impact Reports, Relevant Representations, and Written Representations for NSIPs
Engage and negotiate with stakeholders, including local communities, developers, legal advisors, and statutory consultees
Job Requirements:
Experience in development management and town planning
Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading complex infrastructure planning projects under the TWAO and NSIP regulatory regimes from inception to decision
Excellent understanding of UK planning legislation and policy, including the Planning Act 2008 and TWA 1992
Proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs within strict deadlines
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
Full clean driving licence
Qualifications:
RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
