Job Description
Our client, a leader in delivering innovative solutions within the construction and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist. This permanent position plays a pivotal role in driving strategic procurement and supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business growth and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will have a strategic impact on procurement and supply chain processes, contributing to the overarching goals of the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
Driving commercial and added value benefits through the negotiation of best value Group Frameworks and Agreements aligned with the Group Supply Chain Strategy.
Managing strategic relationships with key supply chain partners, significantly improving quality and service levels.
Ensuring compliance with legislative/statutory requirements for products procured via Group Frameworks.
Developing and executing contracts with key supply chain partners identified as best value.
Policing frameworks at a strategic level to ensure adherence and appropriate handling of slippage.
Maximising and recovering identified direct and third-party rebate opportunities with all business unit teams.
Developing and aligning the Sub-Contractor Database with third-party data sources for risk management and improvement opportunities.
Leading on strategic supply chain engagement through various mediums, including social media, events, and conferences.
Job Requirements:
Experience in Procurement & Supply Chain roles, preferably within the construction sector.
Relevant construction and/or business-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc).
Membership in CIPS (MCIPS).
Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Strong ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
Capability to utilise data to identify risks and opportunities and to support decisions and business improvements.
