Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 08:15–16:16 (flexible working hours available)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Design Engineer to join a leading precision engineering business. This role will focus on supporting new product introduction (NPI) through the creation and refinement of design and manufacturing documentation, contributing to the development of high-performance engineered components.
Key Responsibilities
Support the realisation of new products from concept to manufacturing-ready designs
Create 3D CAD models and mathematical analyses to support design validation
Ensure manufacturability through consideration of machining, gauging, and assembly processes
Manage projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Support continuous improvement and design verification activities
Assist with documentation and knowledge-sharing across teamsIdeal Candidate
A Master’s degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, etc.)
Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
Understanding of rotating equipment and production technologies (turning, grinding, metrology, etc.)
Familiarity with project management, statistical tools, and problem-solving techniques (e.g., 6 Sigma, 8D)
Strong communication and presentation skills
