Product Design Engineer - Braintree - Up to £38,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits
A long-standing client in Braintree is recruiting a Product Design Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a key role for someone looking to lead design and R&D projects, improve manufacturing processes, and drive innovation across the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve and standardise manufacturing processes
Support R&D and new product development
Create and manage tooling, fixtures, and CAD drawings (SolidWorks)
Maintain ERP system data and process documentation
Drive continuous improvement and support tech integration
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering
Experience with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred - training provided)
Knowledge of metal cutting, tooling, Lean, and Six Sigma
Strong maths and precision measurement skills (imperial/metric)
Excellent communication and organisation across all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office
