Job Description
Product Manager.
Industrial/Engineering/Building Products.
Coventry – office based.
£40,000 to £45,000.
Do you have experience in product management in a dynamic environment? Is data management and manipulation one of your core strengths? Do you have a passion for customer service?
We have been retained to find a Product Manager for a growing and profitable supplier of products to the industrial, engineering and building sectors.
This is a new role within the business. An opportunity to work closely with an established sales and account management team, but with a remit to make the role your own.
Product Management (70-80% of the role):
* Work with departmental heads to optimise product ranges.
* Manage product data files for customers.
* Issue data to customers as requested.
* Complete on-line submissions for key customers.
* Work with wider teams (sales, sales support and IT) to drive the product data process.
* Identify opportunities for product management process improvements and drive through to effective implementation.
Pricing (20-30% of the role):
* Create and distribute pricing for various customer groups (working with sales support).
* Conduct data-based price changes for specific groups of customers.
* Agree customer pricing systems in conjunction with internal project teams.
This is a hugely varied role, comprising of key daily tasks, ad-hoc changing priorities in response to internal and customer requests, and ongoing project work.
To support your IT, data and analytical skills, you will need be a strong communicator and have the ability to influence across the organisation.
The company is based on the Birmingham side of Coventry and is well placed for the Coventry train stations and bus routes.
The salary on offer will be negotiable depending on what skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the position.
