Job Description
We are looking for a fettler/polisher to work on our day shift.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7-4 (30 minutes unpaid for lunch), Friday 7.30 to 12.30
Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
The finishing of pre machined aircraft components to customer defined specification and standard.
Core skills/attributes needed:
* Experience of polishing/metal finishing essential
* Remove burrs and sharp edges using files, scrapers and rotary tools
* Light polishing of various steel and aluminum components
* Visual inspection of completed products
* Completing appropriate documentation
* Engineering background ideally in aerospace industry
* Experience of reading, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Experience of working with a number of different materials and finishes
* Attention to detail
* Problem solving skills
* Utilising a range of hand tools
