Job Description
Job Title: Production Supervisor (Night Shift)
Salary: £40,000 (plus shift premium of £4600)
Shift: 10:30 PM 6:30 AM
Location: Reading
We're seeking a hands-on, motivated Night Shift Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently. This role is key to driving performance, maintaining high team morale, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities of Production Supervisor:
Supervise and motivate team members to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health & safety policies.
Lead daily Tier 2 meetings and manage production handovers.
Train, develop, and coach employees to meet performance goals.
Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments.
Support ISO 9001 standards and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist with manual tasks as needed and manage shift supplies.
The Production Supervisor should have the following skills and experience:
Proven team leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of lean, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in both office and production settings.
