Job Description
Production Team Leader
A small, specialist equipment manufacturer are now seeking a Team Leader, for their modern manufacturing facility in Abingdon.
This is a hands-on role and will involve the build and assembly of the equipment, along with the support and guidance of the Assembly Operatives.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical assembly, who is also confident leading and motivating a team in a low volume, production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a small team of operatives to ensure daily production targets and quality standards are met
Support with the wiring of systems and products using electrical drawings and technical instructions
Oversee and participate in the mechanical assembly of components and full systems
Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Monitor workflow, identify areas for improvement, and liaise with supervisors to resolve issues
Ensure all health, safety, and quality control procedures are followedSkills & Experience
Proven experience in an assembly role, with strong wiring and hand soldering skills
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions
Proactive, organised, and supportive team leader who leads by example
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be preferredThis role would also suit an experienced Technician or Assembly Operative ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
