TEXO Recruitment are supporting our external client based in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, with the recruitment of a proactive and organised Project Engineer to join their busy Projects team.
This exciting role supports the successful delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects, with responsibilities ranging from client liaison and estimating support to coordinating departments and tracking job progress. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Estimators to evaluate client enquiries and prepare accurate quotations
* Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking ongoing fabrication and offshore projects
* Liaise with engineering, drafting, and workshop departments to ensure alignment on project deliverables
* Support the Projects Manager in resource planning, progress monitoring, and cost control
* Interpret client specifications and ensure they are clearly communicated to relevant teams
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including work scopes, updates, and handover reports
* Participate in weekly project meetings and update internal systems with progress information
* Ensure project tasks are completed to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
* Engage with suppliers, third parties, and clients as required throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a Project Engineering role within fabrication, manufacturing, or Oil & Gas
* Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with CAD packages, preferably Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
* Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and scope documents
* Willingness to travel in the UK or internationally as required
