We are working with a large public sector client to recruit a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team. This full-time position is a 6-month assignment based in Newry with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 3 days office attendance). The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring their successful delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee project portfolio, monitor effectiveness, and implement improvements.
Ensure smooth operations and achieve SMART objectives with delivery agents and suppliers.
Evaluate proposals and applications for suitability.
Prepare, monitor, and control budgets accurately.
Prepare materials and present them to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
Stay informed on regional trade, innovation, and entrepreneurship issues.
Ensure adherence to employment and equality policies.
Essential Criteria
At least 3 years' experience managing all aspects of a project lifecycle, including design, delivery, continuous improvement, monitoring, evaluation, and budgetary control.
Proven ability to work autonomously and make effective decisions impacting successful project delivery.
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining effective controls for accountability in project management.
Proficient in IT within a business environment, including CRM/Database management.
This role will be a hybrid role with 3 days in the office in Newry. Although the role is initially for a 6-month period, there is a high possibility of longevity within this role.
