I’m currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity with one of my long-standing clients — a well-established, family-run mechanical engineering firm based in Dumfries. They're known for their hands-on expertise in design, fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance services, and they’re looking for a Project Manager who can help drive the next phase of their growth.
This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a real impact. You’ll be working directly with the Managing Director and playing a key part in shaping how projects are delivered across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
🔧 Managing projects from start to finish — on time, on budget, and to a high standard
🔄 Leading continuous improvement and lean initiatives
🤝 Collaborating with operations, ensuring seamless internal communication
📈 Supporting business development and client relationship building
👥 Developing team culture with a focus on learning and improvement
💰 Overseeing budgets, timelines, and resources

What I’m looking for:
✅ Solid project management or operational leadership experience
✅ Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving ability

✅ Engineering or mechanical background is a big plus
