Job Description
Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for education and a desire to gain hands-on experience in schools? We are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school in the Carterton area. This role is perfect for graduates considering a future in teaching, SEN support, or educational psychology.
Key Responsibilities
*
Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
*
Ensure pupils remain on task and follow the provided lesson plan
*
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and in line with school policy
*
Provide support to individual students where needed, particularly those with additional needs
*
Act as a positive role model and uphold the school's values and expectations
Required Experience
*
A minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
*
Previous experience working with children or teenagers (in schools, youth work, or care settings)
*
Confidence to manage a classroom independently
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
