Permanent Teacher of Psychology (A-Level Focus: Research Methods) - Outstanding Southampton School (Psychology Department)
An outstanding school in Southampton is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Teacher of Psychology with a strong focus on delivering high-quality A-Level Psychology, particularly with an emphasis on research methods and statistical analysis. You will equip our Sixth Form students with the crucial skills needed for higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and rigorous Psychology lessons primarily to A-Level students, with a clear focus on research design, data collection, and statistical interpretation.
* Develop students' ability to critically evaluate psychological research and apply methodological understanding to novel scenarios.
* Contribute to the A-Level Psychology curriculum, ensuring a strong emphasis on research methods and their application across different areas of psychology.
* Assess student progress through research reports, data analysis tasks, and evaluations of empirical studies.
* Collaborate with the Psychology Department to share best practices in teaching research methods and statistical concepts.
