An outstanding school in Southampton is seeking a talented and ambitious Permanent Teacher of Psychology to join our dedicated Psychology Department, with a primary focus on delivering and developing our A-Level Psychology provision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to mentor and guide our Sixth Form students through the fascinating world of the human mind and behaviour, with some potential involvement at KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver well-structured and inspiring Psychology lessons primarily to A-Level students, encompassing a range of approaches and debates within the field.
* Nurture students' critical thinking, analytical skills, and research abilities within the discipline of Psychology.
* Contribute significantly to the development, review, and enhancement of the A-Level Psychology curriculum and resources, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and current research.
* Monitor student progress closely at A-Level, providing effective academic and pastoral support, including guidance for university applications in psychology and related fields.
* Collaborate effectively with a supportive team within the Psychology Department, contributing to a positive and high-achieving learning environment.
