QA Software Engineer
* Location: London (Hybrid)
* Job Type: Full-time
Join a leading financial software and hardware vendor as a QA Software Engineer. This role offers a fantastic career opportunity within a dynamic, small to medium-sized Fintech business. Open to candidates at all levels of experience, the successful applicant will work among an experienced team, developing skills in technical roles and interacting with global clients.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Analyse, define, and implement test cases to ensure comprehensive testing of our products.
* Become an expert in low-latency, high-performance software and hardware products.
* Provide expert usage and technical support for our products to a specialised client base.
* Contribute to pre-sales technical support.
* Develop automated test tools and continually improve the quality of releases across the company's technical portfolio.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Degree in Computer Science.
* Proficient with Linux command-line.
* Motivated and eager to learn.
Desirable skills include:
* Experience in C++ programming and scripting languages, ideally Python.
* Experience in QA and automation.
* Experience in Market Data
* Understanding of networking concepts, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with Git or similar SCM tools.
* Knowledge of financial trading infrastructures and applications.
