About the Role:
We are currently working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Mottingham, South East London, to recruit a passionate and experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher. This full-time position is ideal for a qualified teacher who has a strong background in teaching Year 1 and/or Year 2, with proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Year 1 and Year 2

Differentiate effectively to support pupils with a variety of learning needs, including SEN

Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

Work collaboratively with support staff, the SENCO, and external agencies
*
Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback and interventions where needed
*
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events
Requirements:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally within Year 1 or 2
*
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and experience implementing them in the classroom
*
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
*
A caring, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
