Quality Engineer – South Yorkshire
Are you a hands-on Quality Engineer ready to make an impact in a high-output manufacturing setting?
This is an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established business undergoing a major transformation – with ongoing multi-million investment in new, state-of-the-art production facilities and a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
This permanent position offers the chance to work in a collaborative team environment with strong Quality culture support from MD level, supporting operations that are critical to the automotive and renewable energy sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving using 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and 8D tools.
* Develop and enhance documentation including procedures, standards, and work instructions.
* Handle customer and internal non-conformances, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
* Play a key role in new product introduction and quality planning.
* Product and process audits
* Support and mentor junior staff and technicians and collaborate cross-functionally.
* Improve and maintain quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
What We’re Looking For:
* 3–5 years of experience in a quality role, preferably within machining, precision engineering, casting or assembly
* Strong knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP) and auditing experience.
* Confidence in engaging across all levels – from shop floor to senior leadership.
* Practical, resilient, and able to adapt within a fast-paced environment.
