Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Southeast London £45,000 - £55,000 This opportunity offers a competitive package and the chance to work with a leading consultancy committed to professional development and career growth. You will have the opportunity to work across projects such as Residential, Education, Local Government, Refurbishment and Industrial which will give you a great variety in your workload. Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor: Manage client relationships and present project schemes effectively. Oversee project programming and address any issues affecting service delivery. Act as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent. Appoint and manage the performance of the Professional Team. Prepare and deliver initial appraisals and feasibility reports. Draft and prepare contract documents. Delegate tasks while maintaining overall responsibility for project success. Develop and manage budget estimates, cost plans, tendering processes, and contract arrangements. Formulate project briefs and fee proposals and present schemes or services. Prepare comprehensive tendering documentation. Provide recommendations for interim payments, assess anticipated final costs, measure work, adjust variations, and prepare final accounts. Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor: Chartered status (desirable but not essential). Experience in design and build forms, including JCT contracts. Knowledge in residential, education, existing buildings, and retrofit projects. A RICS Accredited Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management. Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and MS Project. What happens next?
