Job Description
Quantity Surveyor
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them to work on a brand new 300+unit, mixed tenure development in Leeds. Your role as a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
* Subcontractor procurement;
* Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
* Projecting cost and value to completion;
* Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
* Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
* Recording and agreement of contract variations;
* Agreement of Final Accounts.
The Person
The qualities we are looking for in a Quantity Surveyor:
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
* Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
