Equation Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an employer seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial aspects across a variety of fit-out and construction projects. You’ll work closely with project and operations teams to maximise profitability and ensure contracts run smoothly from start to finish.
Location: London (site-based, with some travel)
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £50,000–£70,000 + car allowance + benefits
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities
* Procuring and managing subcontractors and materials
* Monitoring project progress and financial performance
* Managing variations and resolving contractual issues
* Producing cost reports, valuations, and final accounts
* Collaborating with clients, consultants, and site teams
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or interior fit-out
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent MS Excel and Office skills
* A commercial mindset with sharp negotiation and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable but not essential:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
* Experience in bid writing and e-tendering
