Freelance Quantity Surveyor Opportunity: Drive Projects with a Reputable Family Business
Are you a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking freelance opportunities with a well-established, family-run business?
Our client is actively seeking a skilled freelance Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from £5,000 to £6 million. They deliver refurbishment and new build projects for a variety of sectors, including the Public Sector, Health Authorities, Education, Retail, Property Management, and Blue Chip companies.
As a key freelance Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Providing accurate cost estimates, meticulous budget management, and proactive cost control throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Collaborating effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver timely and insightful cost advice.
Conducting thorough contract analysis, identifying potential risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
Preparing detailed bills of quantities and comprehensive tender documents.
Evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids rigorously and negotiating advantageous terms.
Closely monitoring project progress and variations, ensuring strict adherence to budgetary and contractual requirements.
Contributing your expertise to the ongoing enhancement of our cost management processes.This freelance role offers significant autonomy, the potential for long-term engagement, and flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.
