Avocet Recruitment is working alongside a reputable residential developer who is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving company that is delivering high-quality residential developments across the South West.
About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing all costs relating to residential building projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. You will ensure that the developments are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
* Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts
* Monitor project progress and provide regular financial reports
* Manage variations and ensure accurate cost control
* Conduct site visits to assess work progress and validate claims
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT experience preferred)
* Proficiency in cost planning, forecasting, and budgeting
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
