Quantity Surveyor – Major Refurbishment Project
Gosport, Hampshire

Construo Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading main contractor, for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship refurbishment project in Gosport. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a complex and high-value scheme.
About the Project
The project is the full refurbishment, now valued at circa £119 million following agreed variations. Working under the PPC 2000 contract.
Scope of works includes:
* Structural repairs and enhancements
* Installation of new roofs and render
* New internal walls, ceilings, and flooring
* Full sanitaryware and IPS systems
* Complete MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services
* Extensive drainage and both hard and soft landscaping
This complex, multi-discipline refurbishment offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a landmark project.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all cost-related aspects of the project
* Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
* Support in the administration of the PPC 2000 form of contract
* Cost forecasting, valuations, and reporting
* Work collaboratively with the project delivery and commercial teams
* Liaise with key stakeholders including the MOJ and other supply chain partners
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction or refurbishment projects
* Familiarity with PPC 2000 contracts is highly desirable
* Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
* Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional background
