Job Description

Do you have strong, established relationships with Irish Rail or other key transport stakeholders? Are you experienced in winning rail infrastructure work through strategic campaigning and client development? Rate: £500 - £600/day IR35: TBD Duration: 12 months (potential for extension) Location: Belfast / Dublin (2-3 days per week on site/in office, travel and accommodation covered) I am seeking a Business Development Manager to play a key role in securing major rail engineering and infrastructure projects across the Republic of Ireland. The role will focus on building strong client relationships, understanding project pipelines, gathering market intelligence, and leading business development campaigns that open new opportunities with Irish Rail and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). This role will have a key focus on rail systems projects including DART+, depot works, MetroLink, and wider infrastructure programmes Candidate Requirements: Strong existing connections with Irish Rail and/or the wider Irish transport sector are essential Experience across business development, bid management, or work winning within rail infrastructure Experience working in client facing roles with a consultancy or principal contractor, or direct experience with authorities such as Irish Rail, Department of Transport, or NTA highly desirable confident networker, able to identify decision-makers and influencers Good cultural understanding of operating within the Republic of Ireland Knowledge of rail sector essential, rail systems (signalling, telecoms, infrastructure) beneficial Engineering background useful but not essential To avoid missing out on this opportunity, please submit your CV and then contact Amy at Carrington West
