Religious Education (RE) Teacher - Yardley Area
Full-Time or Part-Time | Key Stages 3 & 4
A thriving secondary school in the Yardley area is seeking a qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join its team on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the availability of the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality RE lessons while supporting students' academic and personal development.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver an engaging Religious Education curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and a deeper understanding of diverse religious and ethical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured and engaging RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Promote discussions around different faiths, belief systems, and moral/ethical issues.
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varied learning abilities.
Assess and track student progress, offering timely and constructive feedback.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching RE at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and challenge students.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to promoting values of tolerance, respect, and diversity.
