A well-regarded, two-form entry primary school in Barnet is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and reflective Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2025. What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading an engaging, play-based curriculum that responds to children’s interests and developmental needs
*
Creating a calm, stimulating, and well-organised classroom environment that supports exploration and independence
*
Using formative assessment tools (e.g. Tapestry or equivalent) to monitor progress, identify next steps, and communicate with families
*
Building secure relationships with pupils, parents, and carers, promoting a strong sense of belonging and inclusion
*
Working closely with the Nursery team and KS1 staff to ensure smooth transitions across phases

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS and have solid experience in an EYFS classroom, ideally in a school-based Reception setting

Be highly skilled in creating learning experiences that combine structure, exploration, and challenge
*
Be passionate about developing oracy, language, and social skills through purposeful play and adult interactions
*
Be a positive, reflective practitioner who thrives in a collaborative team
