Recruitment Consultant – Permanent Healthcare Division
Are you an experienced permanent recruiter looking for a fresh challenge—or a successful temp recruiter ready to develop your career in the permanent space?
We’re looking for a commercially focused and relationship-driven Permanent Recruitment Consultant to join our high-performing team at Athona. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in 360° recruitment who’s ready to take their next step within a supportive, ambitious, and forward-thinking business.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering permanent recruitment solutions to healthcare organisations across the UK. This is a full-cycle role where you’ll manage everything from candidate sourcing to client development, with support from dedicated marketing, compliance, and business development teams.
Key Responsibilities

Source, engage, and place high-quality candidates into permanent healthcare roles
*
Proactively develop and manage client accounts, delivering tailored recruitment solutions
*
Headhunt candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, and market insight
*
Negotiate offers, manage the full recruitment lifecycle, and provide post-placement support
*
Collaborate with Business Development to identify and secure new opportunities
*
Use market intelligence to inform your desk strategy and maximise results
*
Build your personal brand and professional reputation within your sector
*
Consistently deliver against agreed revenue and activity targets
What We’re Looking For

Proven 360° recruitment experience (healthcare experience ideal but not essential)

Strong candidate sourcing, headhunting, and account management skills
*
Commercially minded, results-oriented, and confident in a client-facing role
*
Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a busy desk
*
A consultative approach and the ability to build long-term, trusted relationships
* Someone ready to take ownership, deliver results, and grow their market presence
