Job Title: Regional Employability Manager
Salary: Up to £58,100 per annum
Location: Home-based (with regular travel across contract delivery areas in London)

Trigon Recruitment are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Employability Manager to lead and inspire a team of operational managers in the delivery of community wellbeing and employment services aligned with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Fidelity framework. This is a strategic leadership role in which you will shape service delivery, champion continuous improvement, and build strong partnerships to ensure we not only meet but exceed contractual and participant outcomes. You will foster a high-performance culture, ensuring services are responsive, compliant, and genuinely transformative.
Key Responsibilities
As the Regional Operations Manager, you will be at the heart of driving performance, quality, and innovation across the employers community wellbeing services. Your role will be both strategic and hands-on, supporting front-line service delivery while shaping broader operational excellence.
1. Strategic Leadership and Service Oversight
Lead and manage the delivery of multiple contracts across London, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services that meet or exceed commissioner expectations.
Provide clear operational direction aligned with organisational values, vision, and the IPS Fidelity framework.
Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for delivery teams, ensuring consistency and alignment across services.
Contribute to the development and execution of wider organisational strategies, acting as a key member of the operational leadership team.
2. People Management and Team Development
Line manage and support a team of operational managers, offering regular coaching, supervision, and professional development.
Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, celebrating success, and constructively addressing underperformance.
Promote team cohesion and a learning culture, encouraging staff to share best practices and embrace innovation.
Identify leadership talent and support succession planning to strengthen long-term capability within your region.
3. Performance and Quality Assurance
Monitor, interpret, and act on performance data, using dashboards and KPIs to track service outcomes and compliance.
Ensure services meet key performance indicators (KPIs), contractual obligations, and internal quality standards.
Lead on performance recovery plans where necessary, working collaboratively with managers and stakeholders to address root causes of underperformance.
Conduct service reviews and audits, ensuring services are delivered with fidelity to the IPS model and in line with regulatory expectations.
4. IPS Fidelity and Model Integrity
Serve as the subject matter expert on the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model across your region, embedding its 8 principles and 25 anchor points into day-to-day operations.
Support managers and teams in applying IPS practices effectively, ensuring consistency in job coaching, employer engagement, and clinical integration.
Work closely with fidelity reviewers and internal quality teams to maintain accreditation and respond to any areas of development.
Champion continuous professional development for frontline staff in IPS methodology.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
Build and sustain productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including NHS Trusts, local authorities, commissioners, referral partners, and community organisations.
Represent the organisation at external forums, meetings, and events, promoting the organisation's values and ensuring alignment with sector developments.
Work collaboratively with commissioners to shape and adapt services in line with emerging needs or local policy changes.
Act as a conduit between delivery teams and senior leadership, ensuring local insights inform strategic decisions.
6. Innovation, Continuous Improvement, and Best Practice
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and enhance participant experience through innovation, systems thinking, and evidence-based approaches.
Share and scale best practices across contracts and regions, encouraging a culture of shared learning.
Use data, research, and participant feedback to inform service design and operational enhancements.
Lead or contribute to cross-organisational projects that improve efficiency, effectiveness, or employee engagement.
7. Compliance, Safeguarding, and Risk Management
Ensure all services operate within relevant legal, regulatory, and safeguarding frameworks.
Manage operational risks proactively, maintaining robust systems for incident reporting, data protection, and health and safety.
Support audits, inspections, and reviews from external agencies, including CQC, commissioners, and funding bodies.
Maintain clear and up-to-date operational policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience in operational or service delivery roles.
Demonstrable understanding and application of the IPS Fidelity framework, including direct experience aligning services to its principles and anchor points.
Proven experience leading dispersed teams, managing change, and delivering against complex performance targets.
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Flexibility to travel across London and the surrounding areas as required.
