Job Description
Do you have experience overseeing the installation and commissioning of construction within a high regulated industry such as Nuclear, Defence, Oil and Gas?
Have you a proven track record of safely executing construction works and knowledge of how works align with safety cases?

The Opportunity
A new opportunity has opened up for an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee and support the installation and commissioning processes during construction activities at the submarine refit complex, with a primary focus on Civils and M&E work. You will report directly to the Lead Construction Manager for day-to-day planning and coordination.
This is a contract role and has been deemed inside IR35
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Assist construction and project teams by providing guidance.
Communicate with contractors and address technical queries or site issues.
Ensure alignment with the project schedule and contract requirements.
Make sure contractors adhere to the scope of work and any change requests.
Perform inspections and maintain records to ensure compliance with the scope and integrated test plans.You will have the following qualifications & experience
A degree or Chartered status in a relevant field is required.
Proven experience in safely executing construction works, with a solid understanding of the nuclear industry and how works align with safety cases.
Familiarity with CDM regulations, construction practices, and health and safety legislation is essential.
Experience working within the nuclear-licensed site boundary is highly desirable.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with an appreciation for the importance of integrated team delivery.
Previous experience with delivering NEC contracts is beneficial.Get in touch now
