Job Description

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Residential Children's Home Manager for a local authority based in Berkshire. In this role, you will lead and develop a brand-new residential service, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic care for children and young people while managing two homes in line with Ofsted standards and the boroughs vision for localised, family-focused support. Key Duties: Lead and manage two children's residential homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards. Recruit, develop and support a skilled staff team, embedding a therapeutic practice model across the service. Oversee budgets, service planning and quality assurance to deliver high standards of care. Work closely with internal teams and partners to maintain placements near children's communities and networks.Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience: Proven experience managing children's residential homes, including Ofsted registration and compliance. Strong background in leading and supporting staff teams using therapeutic approaches. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver high-quality, child-centred services. Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to support children with complex needs.What's on offer: Salary: £342+ per day *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience* Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week How to apply: Once your CV is received, if you are successful, you will be contacted.
