Job Opportunity: Roofer – Reactive Repairs Team (Social Housing)
Location: Various Sites (Mobile Role)
Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
Overtime: Available (subject to supervisor approval)
About the Role
EQUANS is seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our Reactive Repairs Team. This mobile role involves working across a variety of occupied social housing properties, delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining a professional and courteous approach with tenants and residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform repairs on flat and pitched roofing systems, including slate, tile, and felt
• Work independently or as part of a small team depending on job requirements
• Receive and manage work orders electronically via a mobile device
• Represent EQUANS professionally within residents’ homes
Requirements
• Level 2 qualification in Roofing (or equivalent)
• Valid Basic DBS Check (must be provided)
• Proven experience with a variety of roofing systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must provide own hand tools (note: 240v tools are not permitted)
• Ability to work effectively in a mobile role with flexibility and reliability
