Job Description
Job Title: Rotational Specialist Pharmacist (Band 7)
Location: Clinical Pharmacy Services, Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week
Employer: Livewell Southwest
We're hiring a motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join our dynamic Clinical Pharmacy Team at Livewell Southwest. This rotational role covers general medicine, rehabilitation, mental health, and community services-supporting both primary and secondary care settings.
What You'll Do:
Deliver clinical pharmacy services including medicines reconciliation, optimisation, and discharge planning
Attend ward rounds and MDTs across a range of services
Provide expert advice to prescribers and healthcare professionals
Supervise and support junior pharmacy staff
Contribute to service improvement, clinical audits, and medicines governance
Receive support to complete a Clinical Diploma and train as an Independent Prescriber
What We're Looking For:
Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
Strong clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills
Able to travel between sites across Plymouth
Postgraduate diploma (or working towards) is desirable
Mental health pharmacy experience is an advantage
