Job Description
A leading engineering firm specialising in bulk materials handling and conveyor systems is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team. This is a technically engaging role focused on supporting customers, sales teams, and internal departments with accurate quotes and tailored engineering solutions.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering, the Estimator will:
* Provide technical guidance and develop bespoke engineering solutions to meet customer needs
* Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations
* Support customers and agents by recommending product configurations and applications
* Produce sales proposal drawings where required
* Participate in project handovers, ensuring seamless transition to the design and engineering teams
* Collaborate across departments to troubleshoot issues and support successful implementation
* Develop technical documentation and training materials for internal and customer use
What You’ll Need:
* A strong engineering background, ideally with a Mechanical Engineering degree or apprenticeship
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience in preparing technical bids and commercial proposals
* A problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach
* Confidence when communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders
