About the Role:
Are you a passionate and qualified Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a reputable secondary school in Southport who is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:
Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Developing and delivering engaging and creative lessons that promote student participation and understanding.
Planning and preparing lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring all students make progress.
Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to guide their development.
Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
Supporting the development of students' scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical skills.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of the Science curriculum.
Contributing to school life and participating in extracurricular science activities.About You:
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Science.
Have experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Be passionate about inspiring students to achieve in Science and fostering a love for the subject.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable to different teaching settings and student needs.
Have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Hold a valid DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
