Simply Education is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our valued partner secondary schools in Stockport this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging Science lessons in schools that prioritise academic excellence, inclusivity, and professional growth.
The Opportunity
This role is perfect for a committed Science educator with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, who is passionate about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific understanding among students. You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 if desired.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and tailored to your specialism.
Encourage scientific enquiry and practical investigation in a safe, well-equipped environment.
Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of learners, including SEN and high achievers.
Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and inform planning.
Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team to support student achievement.What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
A strong understanding of curriculum content and effective teaching strategies in Science.
Ability to inspire students and maintain high engagement levels.
Excellent behaviour management, organisational, and communication skills.
