We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and contribute to our nurturing community.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with social, emotional, and mental health and complex learning difficulty needs
* Assist teachers in creating and delivering personalised learning plans.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Support students in developing their social skills and emotional resilience.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
* Monitor and document student progress and well-being.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
* Understanding of strategies to support students with diverse emotional and mental health challenges.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
* Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or child development (preferred but not essential).
* Dbs on the update service or willinng to acquire one.
* Driving is essential due to the location of the school.
