SEMH Teaching Assistant Full-Time Birmingham B33 £85-£90 Per Day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) Starting: June 2025 ABC Teachers are seeking passionate individuals to support children and young adults with diverse learning needs, including Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs, as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist school. Your Role: Collaborate with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. Foster both academic progress and social development. Employ positive behaviour strategies to help students overcome challenges and thrive. Provide personalized support to students, adapting lessons to meet their needs. The School: The School Supports Young Boys between the ages of 5-14 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Situated in East Birmingham the school offers a holistic approach to Education, all students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education and Health Care Plan with primary needs of SEMH, ASC and ADHD. We are looking for someone to join this proactive team who can bring a resilient, therapeutic and patient approach to Education.  The desired Teaching Assistant will have; A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting or equivalent personal experience supporting individuals with learning needs. A valid DBS on the update service, or a willingness to complete a DBS check. A commitment to supporting and caring for young people with physical and learning challenges. The ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a classroom environment. Able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references.
