SEN Finance and Data Officer Hours: 36 hours per week Location: Central London, Hybrid 2 days a week Contract: Temporary, potential for temp to perm The Role Are you a detail-driven problem solver with a knack for numbers and a heart for public service? We're looking for an exceptional SEN Finance and Data Officer to power the financial engine behind our Special Educational Needs (SEND) service. You'll play a vital role in ensuring funding is accurately allocated, suppliers are paid on time, and systems are kept sharp and up to date. Your work keeps services running smoothly for children and young people with SEND - helping to deliver real-world impact, every single day. What You'll Do Manage and track high needs funding for individual pupils using funding matrices. Keep databases and case management systems updated with financial records. Reconcile finance schedules with real-time pupil data - no gaps, no guesswork. Process purchase orders, verify invoices, and liaise with suppliers. Lead termly audits of personal transport budgets and check school attendance records. Monitor independent school fee increases - and challenge where needed. Produce clear, data-backed reports for leaders to make smart, future-focused decisions. Work hand-in-hand with finance teams, schools, and caseworkers to streamline processes.What You'll Bring Experience managing financial data or payment schedules within education, health, or local services. Strong Excel and database skills - confident handling numbers and spotting patterns. Sharp organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and stakeholders. A good understanding of SEND or a fast learner ready to grow in this area.
