SEN Support Assistant - PMLD Focus
📍 Location: South East London
📅 Days: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
💷 Pay: £110 - £120 per day
📘 Start: Immediate or ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive school in South East London is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join their team and provide high-quality classroom support to students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and group support to students with PMLD within a classroom setting
Assist with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored educational and care plans
Use a range of communication strategies including Makaton, PECs, or sensory-based approaches (training can be provided)
Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience supporting students with PMLD or other complex SEN needs (preferred but not essential)
Is compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about inclusive education
Is reliable, adaptable, and able to work effectively within a team
Has a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
