As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of students. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and SENCOs to provide comprehensive support to students.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
An updated CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
